Memorabilia Introduction
The Memorabilia section contains articles, stories,
interviews, documentation, photos, and other items which recall and describe
some aspect of the Te Selle family history. Some of these memorabilia
items were
contributed by various family members, whose names are cited wherever possible.
Other memorabilia items have been obtained from libraries, historical research
centers, public records, newspaper archives, and other sources. Various photos are included here with the related documents, and may also be
found in the "Photos" section of the website.
The Memorabilia section is divided into the
following sub-sections. Click on a link to one of the
sub-sections to see details of the memorabilia contained therein.

Historical Perspective
- Includes various articles,
interviews, stories, and other items describing the
historical setting in which the TeSelle family lived and
worked.
- Organized by the major geographic
areas within the Netherlands and the United States where
TeSelle family members lived, such as Winterswijk,
Wisconsin, Nebraska, Colorado, etc.
- Describes the voyage of two TeSelle
brothers from the Netherlands to America on board the
steamship S.S. Helvetia in October 1865
and their arrival at
Castle Garden Immigrant Depot in New York City.

- Memorabilia listed by each individual
for whom memorabilia is available.
- Includes photographs, personal
stories, obituaries, documentation of births, deaths,
marriages, anniversaries, naturalization, property
ownership, and other items.
- Genealogy snapshot showing how each
individual is linked to Hermen Wijggers/Harmen ter Selle (1685-1736), who was
the original patriarch living on the "De Selle" farm when
the "te Selle" family line began.
